Job Summary
The X Ray Technician is responsible for ensuring that imaging tests are performed safely and correctly.
Essential Job Functions
  • Interpret the order for the test to determine what body parts need imaging.
  • Explain the test to patients and positioning them to make the test possible.
  • Set the controls on X-ray equipment in preparation for imaging.
  • Check X-ray images and retake them as needed to ensure clarity.
  • Clean and perform routine maintenance tasks to keep X-ray equipment operating smoothly.
  • Send X-ray images to providers for reading.
  • Inventory and stock films and radiologic supplies.
  • Work with clinic team to keep inventory and supplies in stock.
  • Update patient records with pertinent information.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks and results as needed.
  • Understands and follows the Code of Conduct and HIPPA guidelines.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Education, Experience & Skills
  • Active and in good standing state license; Radiology associate degree from JRCERT and passed a licensing exam.
  • May need to travel from location to location within a defined radius.
  • Strong oral communication skills to provide clear instructions to patients during testing.
  • Critical thinking skills to interpret orders.
  • Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot problems with equipment.
  • Attentive to detail to set equipment properly and maintain accurate records.
  • Observational skills to spot problems with images and ensure that patients remain correctly positioned.
  • Computer skills to use picture archiving and communications systems and medical records software.
  • Working knowledge of X-ray safety precautions and infection control best practices.
  • Understanding of radiologic science, anatomy and complex medical terminology related to X-rays.

˜ Ability to receive and comprehend instructions verbally and/or in writing.
˜ Ability to use logical reasoning for simple and complex problem solving.
˜ Occasionally requires exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
˜ Ability to discriminate shades of color when reading a dipstick.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
