Responsibilities:
A Manager plays a crucial role in making this the best place to work in the world.
A manager oversees and takes ownership of their department/area, acting as the expert within their department/area.
This role drives customer service in the department by delivering efficient processes and systems, analysing department trends, and strategizing future planning for growth development.
A manager is responsible for heading the leadership of their assigned area in order to make our resort the number one place to work and visit.
Operational Responsible for the operation of all venues within the designated area or department, including the area's maintenance, cleanliness, and safety Owns the processes and system integrations for their department; crafts and maintains standard operating procedures (SOP's) within remit Creates, implements, and oversees reporting program for Area/Department Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) in direct collaboration with assigned Supervisors Creates and maintains contingency planning Oversees specified projects in relation to new business development in the area, ensuring operation excellence for both guests and employees Measures operational standards on a daily basis and takes appropriate action to rectify identified poor standards and performance Trained and able to perform Duty Manager shifts as a Resort 10 Support and/or lead Resort/Merlin wide initiatives/committees as applicable Financial Responsible for developing, tracking, and achieving established labor and department costs Responsible for department's efficient use of company supplies, materials, and resources Educates assigned Area team in key financial performance indicators, holding direct reports responsible for meeting financial goals People Collaborates with the Head of and appropriate business partners to establish a cohesive and consistent operational standard that can support growth Evaluates, trains, and coaches a professional, efficient, and effective team through appropriate discipline and recognition, empowering their assigned leadership to create constructive change for the future Drives the cultural values and standards of customer service within their area Responsible for processing feedback from all members of their department and crafting an appropriate action plan for continuous improvement Creates and adheres to policies and procedures, effectively managing team members and ensuring team are documenting and appropriately reacting to employee relations issues Responsible for promoting and demonstrating LEGOLAND Florida Resort and Merlin culture and core values through words and actions Qualifications &
Experience:
A manager must be able to demonstrate a history of reliability, consistency, and integrity.
This role requires at least three years of proven Theme Park or related customer service experience with a minimum of two years of supervisory experience.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills are a must, and the applicant must be self-motivated and have proven their ability to take initiative.
Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills are required as well as experience in budget preparation and control (operating expenses and labor).
Effective leadership, staff development, organization, verbal skills, and written skills must all point to a commitment to excellence in customer service.
Computer skills (Word, Excel, email, PowerPoint, employee databases) are required.
Basic knowledge of ADA and OSHA standards is helpful Education:
A bachelor's degree in business, management, or a closely related field (or equivalent education and experience) is preferred.
