09 Per Hour Minimum Essential Job Functions:
Under general supervision, the Recreation Attendant for Rentals provides support for the use and rental of City facilities, buildings, and parks.
Provides exceptional customer service and assists the public, renters, and other groups who use City facilities.
Ensures user compliance with policies, regulations, and laws about facility use, safety, and acceptable activities and other duties as assigned.
Meets and greets facility users at various facilities, performs facility check-in and check-out as needed, monitors facility use to include facility and guest safety during rentals.
Sets up and takes down tables and chairs and equipment for rentals and other events.
Maintains a clean and sanitary facility, performs light janitorial duties.
Reports to the Recreation Supervisor, who is responsible for work assignments and evaluation of work performance.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to work independently or as a team; and establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and the public.
Provide exceptional customer service, interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy.
Understand and follow written and oral instructions, and read diagrams for setups.
Working knowledge of audio/visual equipment.
Must be physically able to perform the essential job functions.
Minimum Education &
Experience:
Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalency diploma.
An equivalent combination of education and experience in the hospitality industry, recreation field, or other similar positions that requires close interaction with the public may be substituted Special Requirements:
Possession of a valid Florida driver's license with a good driving record as determined by the City of Winter Haven.
Absence of non-prescribed controlled substances in the applicant's system as verified by a laboratory approved by the City of Winter Haven.
MUST BE ABLE TO WORK A FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE INCLUDING EVENINGS, WEEKENDS, AND HOLIDAYS.
